A Great Day Out for Radio Enthusiasts, Operators and Curious Visitors
Kildare Amateur Radio Club is delighted to announce its Buy & Sell Extravaganza, taking place on Sunday, 18 October 2026 at GAA Football Club, Kill Village, Co. Kildare, W91 XP95.
This event is aimed at amateur radio operators, CB radio operators, shortwave listeners, radio hobbyists, traders, collectors and anyone with an interest in communications technology. Whether you are looking to buy, sell, swap, browse, meet old friends or simply learn more about the hobby, this promises to be a friendly and enjoyable day for all.
The event will bring together people from across the radio community for a relaxed day of trading, chatting, networking and sharing knowledge.
What Will Be Available?
The Buy & Sell Extravaganza is the ideal opportunity to bring along surplus equipment and find a new home for items you no longer need. It is also a great chance to pick up useful gear, accessories or components for your own station.
Visitors can expect a wide range of radio-related items, including:
- Radios
- Antennas
- Receivers
- Power supplies
- SWR and power meters
- Yagi and vertical antennas
- Antenna tuners
- Hand-held radios
- Repeaters
- Cables, fittings and fixtures
- Connectors, meters and accessories
- General radio and electronics equipment
Those attending are encouraged to place items on a table for sale, trade or swap. Equally, visitors are welcome to come along simply to browse and buy items of interest.

The venue offers easy access to and from the N7 motorway, via Junction 7 or Junction 8, with ample parking available at the clubhouse.

Time and Entry
The doors will be open to the public from:
11:00am to 1:30pm
Traders can enter one hour earlier to set up their tables.
Entry is:
€5 per person at the door
Children under 12 go free
The Focus of the Day
While the event is centred on buying, selling and swapping radio equipment, the real focus is community.
The Kildare Amateur Radio Club Buy & Sell Extravaganza is designed to be a nice fun day out for everyone involved. It is a chance to meet other operators, catch up with old radio friends, talk about equipment, share experiences and enjoy the local atmosphere.
Visitors can also head into the local bar for refreshments or enjoy food in the GAA clubhouse from 12:30pm onwards. Whether you are a long-time operator or someone just beginning to explore the world of amateur radio, you will be made very welcome.
Everyone Welcome
You do not need to be an experienced amateur radio operator to attend. CB operators, SWLs, newcomers, families, traders and anyone curious about the hobby are all welcome.
